Developing Self-Directed Learners in the Blended and Hybrid Classroom
As traditional classroom settings evolve, faculty members are challenged to teach their face-to-face classes in a blended or hybrid format and still meet the instructional needs of diverse students who may be underprepared for college and digital learning. Students will need to become self-directed learners as they too transition to different modalities of course delivery. This informative workshop provides strategies for developing self-directed learners in the blended and hybrid classroom. Participants in this online workshop will learn how to help students to persist in their studies, plan their approach to assignments, self-assess their work, and take ownership of their learning strengths and preferences as faculty and students both adjust to changing educational dynamics.
